With the coming of spring

The cherry blossoms have begun to bloom and we can feel the spring breeze.
The other day, Ms. Maki Oida, a ceramic artist in Kyoto, visited our store with her works.
She is a very popular artist, and we were eagerly awaiting her arrival.
She uses a traditional Kutaniyaki technique called “akaesaibyo” (red painting with a fine brush tip) to create very detailed paintings.
Ms. Oida's works are very delicate, dainty, and graceful, and when you hold them in your hands, you will be enchanted by their beautiful world.
Today, we placed the main confectionery, which is reminiscent of cherry blossom petals, on a 6” plate.
The time you spend with soft and gentle sweets on the beautiful plate is a time of five minutes,
It will be a time when you can feel the new season coming around the corner with all of your senses and be filled with a sense of contentment.
These sweets are from “KAICHIJOU” in Shukugawa,
The cherry blossoms in Shukugawa Park near the store will be in full bloom by the end of next week.
